Quick Color Cast Fix (Photoshop)

When shooting around Sydney Harbour at night, mixing natural light—like twilight at sunset or dusk—with artificial city lights can overwhelm your camera's auto white balance. This often results in heavy blue or purple color casts, as seen in the sample image. Manually adjusting your white balance neutralizes those competing color temperatures, restoring natural tones to both the sky and the city skyline. Of course if you prefer the color cast you can leave as is.

6 Simple Steps

1. Open the image in photoshop and make a duplicate layer

2. Add a Filiter - Blur Average

3. Add a Curves Adjustment Layer

4. Use the Mid-Tone Picker and click on image

5. Turn off the duplicate layer with the blur average

6. Flatten layers abd save.
