An in depth look at actual characters that existed in Sydney in the 1800s. Verging on the side of lunacy and quirkiness, these free settlers and convicts lived in the now historic Rocks area of Sydney. Here is my take on how they may have acted and lived.

Many Filipinos have been displaced from their homes because of natural disasters which have forced them to move to Manila from the provinces. They become street vendors living on the edge of poverty.

Arthurs Lake is located in the central highlands of Tasmania, Australia. The man-made lake has a submerged forest that gives the area an unusual, haunting beauty, especially during the early morning mist or sunset.

Geisha

For over 20 years I’ve led photo tours in Japan. In Kyoto, over tourism makes it hard to get a candid shot of a geisha with permission. Photographers must always respect geisha in public and never treat them like trophies. Acting like paparazzi is frowned upon in Japan, especially toward strangers on the street.
