A carefully mapped out route to best capture the blossoms. It is difficult to predict the weather but with this itinerary you are certain to capture them somewhere along our path. Having lived in Tokyo for 4 years and married to a Japanese, it feels more like my second home. There are constantly new and exciting photo locations in the cities I would love to show you. Japan Photo Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Tokyo 2 nights - Explore surrounding old down town areas of Ueno, Asakusa and Yanaka Ginza to name a few.
Surrounding parks and rivers will offer a great cultural experience if we are lucky to catch the Blossoms in full bloom.
Day 1 & 2 - Tokyo - Highlights include Ginza, Shinjuku and Shibuya for some day and night shooting in Neon Tokyo.
Day 3 & 4 Ainokura Village (Traditional Farmhouse)
The Unesco heritage village will be our stop for the night staying in a 250 year old farmhouse in traditional accommodation. This will be a truly unique experience.
Day 4 - 6 Kanazawa for 2 nights - Highlights include The tea district and Kenrokuen gardens are two of the best spots for photography. Another must see destination is the fish market in the heart of the city. Unlike Tokyo fish market it is easier to photograph and the array of seafood from the Japan sea can be sampled for breakfast or lunch. Geisha Experience inTea District for optional extra.
Day 6- 8 Kyoto for 2 nights of temple/shrine hopping and gardens of Zen
Highlights include Fushimi Inari (Orange Gates), Bamboo Grove in Arashiyama and the Golden Temple. There will be loads of opportunities to also shoot street portraits and if we are a lucky we can meet a Geisha.
Day 8 - 10 - Mt Fuji. Shoot at Lake Kawaguchi from mid-afternoon to early evening. Next morning shoot at Chureito Pagoda. Back to to hotel for breakfast and checkout for travel to Tokyo. Other highlights depending on weather conditions may include Lake Yamanaka, Lake Shoji, Lake Saiko & Shiraito Falls.

Cancellation Between 120 and 30 days: 50% refund
