Detailed Itinarary

Day 1 - Launceston Airport morning arrival to Launceston City for a brief look before we head out to Arthurs Lake after lunch followed by a an afternoon shoot at Arthur Lake. If the evening is clear we may come back after dinner for some astrophotography.

Day 2 - At dawn for a sunrise shoot once again at Arthurs Lake. After breakfast a leisurely drive to Strahan.

Drive to Strahan via Queenstown with a quick waterfall shoot at Nelsons Falls before lunch

DAY 2: Strahan is a 3 hour drive from Arthur Lake for Lunch in Queenstown followed by an afternoon shoot at a waterfall and finishing off with a spectacular sunset if we are lucky with the weather. If the night sky is clear we may even snag a few stars.

Day 3 - After breakfast we have a short drive to Corinna. A car barge will take us across the Pieman River to our home for the next two nights. There are various walks and drives nearby to waterfalls and ancient trees.

Day 4 - Pieman River Cruise for an extra fee ($65) we will cruise for 1.5 hours up the river to the ocean at sunrise. Along the river we will see a plethora of tree species in the heritage listed rainforest of the Tarkine.

Day 5, 6 & 7 - From Corinna after breakfast we will head to the rugged windswept Tarkine coast to explore the jagged rocks and salt bush grass hills that are dotted around Arthur River. A cluster of sea stacks are only a short drive to areas such as Couta Rocks and Sarah Anne Rocks. If we are lucky with clear skies we may be able to shoot some astrophotography timed perfectly for a new moon and some milky way action.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy (per person)

  • A deposit of $AUD500 per person is required to secure booking

  • Cancellation More than 120 days before a trip: 100% refund

  • Cancellation Between 120 and 30 days: 50% refund

  • Cancellation Less than 30 days: 0% refund

  • Final payment is due 120 days before the workshop/trip starts.

  • Dependable Portable External Drive

  • ND Variable Filter 10 stops

  • Up to 20 kg luggage and appropriate clothing

  • Spiked Rubber Boots & wet weather clothing.

  • Moderate Level of Fitness is required with around 10,000-20,000 steps a day (2-4hrs) and uneven surfaces

This job is a mix of all my past jobs. I used to be an English, Japanese and Spanish speaking tour-guide in Sydney, taught English in Tokyo and a Professional Photographer for the last 20 + years.

Specialising in People and Places as a travel photographer with a strong focus on landscapes in rural areas and street portraits and night-scapes in urban areas.
